Open House 2020

We are half way through the 2nd trimester and we are getting ready to start new some new novels.

In 8th grade, you will be starting Shakespeare's shortest and most tragic play, Macbeth. You will be getting the opportunity to listen to and act out the play. Get ready for Fair to be foul, and foul to be Fair (Shakespeare Act 1

In 7th grade, you will continue to read Shakespeare's most comedic tragedy, Romeo & Juliet. This week, you will finally get to the first interactions between our star crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet. You will get to act out one of the most iconic interactions between to characters. O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo! (Shakespeare Act 2)

In 6th grade, you will be starting a new novel The Egypt Game. In this story, you will meet two young girls, Alice and Melanie, and you will get to see their friendship develop as they create the Egypt Game.

Catholics Schools' Week

Happy Catholics Schools' Week! I am so thankful to have you in my class. This is going to be a fun and crazy week so let's get started with our schedule.

Week of January 20th

I hope everyone is enjoying their day off. This week we will have 2 special events. On Tuesday, the middle school students will be participating in the Geography Bee starting at 1 pm. On Thursday, grades 7 & 8 will be presenting their NHD projects in the gym from 1 to 3.
Next week is Catholic Schools week, be prepared for some fun days that concluded with a family dance on Friday evening and our Open House on February 2nd from 12-2pm.

January 6th

I hope everyone had a wonderful break and rested up as we are ready to dig in for Trimester 2. The 8th graders should be finishing up their National History Day (NHD) as they will be presenting them on January 23rd.  They will also be creating STEM night projects during their STEM block. STEM night is scheduled for February 13th.  Below are more dates to add your calendar:

Holiday week

One more week til Christmas break! This year has really flown.

It is going to be a busy, joyful, and festive week.

Regular day- however we need to get our USA Christmas door finished and we will start our Classroom Spelling Bee.

Pajama Day- Appropriate attire please
No Homework Day

Jingle Bell Dash 10:50 - 11:10

Christmas Extravaganza Dress rehearsal- 2pm

Christmas Extravaganza Evening Performance 6:30-8:00 pm
- please arrive at 6:15pm
- please wear Sunday best; Christmas sweaters are appropriate
- no jeans, t-shirt, leggings (unless under dresses), spaghetti strap dresses

Regular Day

12:25 Dismissal- no HC bus or aftercare
